The Jolina Gisèle Collection —
Where a Childhood Dream Became a Legacy

Here’s a first glimpse of the collection.

History

A long-guarded family secret is now revealed for the first time.

As a child, Jolina was quiet and observant, with a refined attention to detail. Pokémon cards were more than a game to her. She arranged them with care, studied them repeatedly, preserved her favorites with particular attention, and shared them thoughtfully with her school friends.

One evening, almost casually, she asked a question:

“Dad, is it possible to collect all the Pokémon cards? I think it would be really cool if we had them all.”

It was a childlike thought, limitless, visionary, unbound by constraints.

What once sounded like an innocent idea became the starting point of something greater. From a child’s vision, a shared endeavor gradually emerged over the years. With discipline, foresight, and unwavering dedication, a collection of exceptional depth and substance took shape step by step.

Today, it bears her name:

The Jolina Gisèle Collection.

Perhaps its true distinction lies not only in its scale or quality, but in its origin.

For it began with a dream
and grew into something far beyond what that dream once imagined.

About The Collection

The Jolina Gisèle Collection is regarded as one of the most exclusive and comprehensive private Pokémon collections worldwide. Comprising more than 60,000 cards, it not only documents the history of a global cultural phenomenon, but also sets a new benchmark within the international collecting community.

Over 12,000 cards have been professionally graded by PSA, with the overwhelming majority achieving the highest possible designation: PSA 10 - a distinction awarded to only a small fraction of submitted cards.

The collection brings together virtually every significant Trophy, Promo, and Set card in Pokémon history, represented across multiple languages and preserved in exceptional condition.

Far more than an assemblage of extraordinary cards, it stands as a structured archive of modern pop culture with true museum-level significance.

First Ever Graded
Pikachu Illustrator

The first ever graded Illustrator does not merely represent extraordinary rarity, it marks the beginning of a new era in Pokémon history. With its certification, myth became measurable and institutionally recognized.

It was the moment Pokémon transitioned from cultural phenomenon to certified collectible.

This card is not simply a highlight - It is a piece of history.

It is not merely one of the most significant masterpieces in the Pokémon world, it is the very Illustrator that embodies what Pokémon represents today: cultural relevance, generational resonance, and enduring value.

Speaking with the expert who originally graded the card was a distinct honor. For him as well, seeing this historic specimen again was an extraordinary moment, a reunion with a milestone in collecting history.

A reminder that some cards are rare.

Some are valuable. And some are witnesses to history.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The 30th anniversary of Pokémon represents a cultural milestone that connects generations worldwide and revives shared memories. For us, it is a fitting moment to provide a curated glimpse into this extraordinary collection for the first time.

For many years, we deliberately chose not to make the collection public. With this anniversary, the appropriate moment has now arrived to share selected insights.

  • No.

For security and insurance reasons, the collection is not publicly exhibited. It is permanently stored in a professionally externally secured vault environment.

  • No.

The collection is conceived as a curated body of work. Should it ever be transferred, this would exclusively take place as a single, unified entity. Individual sales or the release of duplicates are not contemplated.

  • An internationally recognized specialist has personally reviewed the collection and has not identified any comparable assemblage worldwide in terms of structural coherence, quality, and scale.

The holding comprises over 60,000 cards, approximately 12,000 of which are almost exclusively graded PSA 10. The collection is fully structured, professionally catalogued, and digitally documented. It has been built systematically over many years — not assembled at random.

It further includes exceptional pieces that have either never been in public circulation or have not appeared publicly for many years.

In addition, there remains substantial further grading potential: A significant portion of high-quality cards has intentionally not yet been submitted for grading due to security and logistical considerations. With PSA’s expanding presence in Germany, additional practical opportunities for future submissions are expected to emerge.

  • We have been in contact with several internationally leading auction houses. However, the proposal in each case was exclusively to divide the collection into individual lots.

For us, the collection is not a portfolio of individual trading items, but a curated body of work. Fragmentation would substantially diminish its structural, historical, and cultural value.

Moreover, there is no sales pressure. Any potential transfer would only be considered as a complete unit and under clearly defined conditions.
